A while back I had the opportunity to shoot some photographs for a great organization called Pro-Bone-O, they provide free veterinary services, food, and supplies for the pets of people who are homeless in the Lane County.  My goal was to highlight the bond between the pets and their owners – it was amazing to say the least.

Victoria - Thank you for the wonderful pictures and for highlighting the relationship between people and their pets. There is a lot of noise out there to the effect that “homeless people shouldn’t have pets.”. This kind of thinking discounts both the idea that the pet often chooses the parent and the reality that we all want and need unconditional love – which is one of the many offerings that our pets bring to us.June 20, 2012 – 10:25 pm

C. Jeannie Freitas Peterson - Hi Daniel. I met with your and Anne at the Pro-Bone-O clinic you attended. The photos are beautiful! I especially like the last one of the woman and her white dog. Thank you so much for sharing these and for the ones you gave Anne to give to our clients. And, you did an excellent job of “editing” that man’s t-shirt! Thank you again.June 21, 2012 – 4:36 am
